Media timeline The brief Consider the development of the media landscape from the earliest beginnings in this country (no need to go back further than the first national newspaper in the 18th century) and draw up a timeline of significant events, e.g. first radio broadcast. Cover film, radio, television, newspaper, magazines and advertising, and concentrate on the last 100 years, with most detail about the last 20 years. Reflect on the development of different media forms and industries, including music, online media and contemporary forms of media consumption.
